I would like to say thank you to all of the readers who voted for Tequila in the URSA competition. I am truly grateful, humbled, and honored that Tequila was chosen to receive the URSA PRIME Award. There were so many wonderful, amazing and truly beautiful entries and I personally think that each and every entry was more than deserving of an award. All of the artists stepped up to the challenge and created bears and buds that exceeded all of our expectations and should be commended for that. I am indeed honored to be an artist among the very best artists in the world. I can confidently say that we all create from our hearts and it shows! Look out readers! 2007 is sure to bring out the best in us once again. And once again, I thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

Congratulations! Congratulations!  I am so happy that tears are streaming down my face. Tequila is so beautiful and you are so talented to be able to have created him, and I am so very, very lucky to own him.  Congratulations again and again on a much deserved honor Sonya.  I am going to run over to my teddy bear room right now, give Tequila a big hug and tell him of the honor he has received. We just couldn't be any prouder.

I have been particularly excited about the URSA Award since it is the first time I have entered into a national contest. It was quite artist friendly as it came at a great time of year and  was quite affordable.    

     Another award was given by Sue Blakey for consistent overall quality, creative contribution to the field by an established artist, quality workmanship, and creativity outside the box. It was the The Dancing Bear Folk Center Award . And It was given to me for Reginald "Topper" Rabbit! Sue felt that this would be the piece she would choose for her museum is she could choose only one. Thank you so much Sue! I am so thrilled and flattered!

Thanks to all of you have supported and given me courage to follow my  dream of creating my world of characters. I'm so grateful to have let them all out and shared them with you.
