There was a mix of different bears created including a mouse and a penguin!

We had a hug of miniature pandas in various colours and some old and new designs created over the three days.

The group is now well established, Linda having visited Germany for the past four years to teach. The weekend is not only about bears,critters and creating, but a lot of laughs and the wonderful culinary creations from Holger, our co-host and husband of Claudia Schlue (Minkitzbaeren).

Next year's get together is already being planned with requests for new designs from Linda's creative imagination, perhaps an Australian critter or two!"

"The long running exhibition - this year it took place for the 22nd time - in the münsterland (north-west of Germany), offered everything that a bear lover could want, well known artists bears , manufactured bears and a lot of supplies. More than 80 exhibitors from Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxemburg and Russia transformed the village into a magical wonderland like every year.

All the traders agreed that the show had a wonderful atmosphere, it is like a big bear family. Everyone agreed that they would love to come again because it is such a lovely weekend.

The organizer Rüdiger Lübben hopes, that all the exhibitors left satisfied with the show and happy with their sales.

In addition to the teddy bear show the village, Ladbergen, opened its doors and offered a hand-craft market, arts market, music and more.

The mood over the weekend was so good that many first time visitors (there are still some!) have already booked their rooms for next year!

As always the show was opened by the mayor of Ladbergen, and Rüdiger Lübben presented the first bear in a show exclusive, limited edition to the village.

Made by HERMAN SPIELWAREN, this year's character, a miller, is limited to 64 and attracted a lot of interest from visitors to the fair.

There was also a competition with entries in four categories from many exhibitors and the winners in the four categories are shown on the photo.

Visitors to this year's Ladbergen bear show left with mixed emotions because they must wait almost a whole year until the next wonderful weekend here (30/31 May 2015).

Hopefully the year will fly by!
