Hi Valerie,

I jumped out of the car to pull the 3-day pile-up of mail from our postbox (Sat. Oct.1), and it was a real surprise to find the package with the URSA logo on the front! Then I thought, wow, you guys are really on the ball, it’s just Oct. 1st, the day the results were going to be posted on the web site. We’ve had a family weekend event and it was nice when I was able to come into the noisy house and share the news with the award in hand!

Thanks a heap for all that you do to make this happen.

Hi Valerie,

I have received the surprise package with the URSA winning goodies. As always, it was exciting to open the package and see what was in there, almost like Christmas in October.

This year I received a wonderful necklace with a jointed bear pendant covered in sparkly rhinestones. It is so wonderful and I've had many lovely compliments on it already.
The ribbon looks good displayed next to my entry bear Krissy, I also put a picture of her in the picture frame that came in the package. The Bears&Buds pin will join the ones of previous years and the pen will be useful at any occasion! One can never have

enough! Thank you so much!

Just wanted you to know that the parcel arrived safely. I'm still happy dancing here :)  I am so pleased - not just for myself, but also for the Sun bears. Thanks so much for including Cerah's photo as I'm camera shy and the link to the BSBCC. I know that the CEO and founder, Siew Te Wong is really pleased about this because the more people who "see" the bears, the better chance of their survival.  And speaking of which - while we were in England, we spent a day at Colchester Zoo and I was entranced and utterly enchanted by Jo-Jo and Srey Yah, their two Sun bears.

I am so HAPPY! My family is happy.
These winning teddies are special bears and I put pattern of this bear in my new textbook Toy’s Land. Toy’s Modelling Basis, Cutting and Sewing. The book is about main principles of Toy’s Modelling. I will make be published by St. Nikolay Day 2011
After the URSA win I will put photo with the ribbon in book and show a lot of people, especially children, that making something by hand can achieve respect in a World market. My main objective is to involve as many people as possible to hand make bears and how important it is to develop individual characters. Making toys is more then only ‘sewing’ it is creating an independent thinking person and for my country this is so important! The URSA Award, not just the ‘ribbon’ as you see it; It Is MORE!
