In 1996, British bear artist Deborah Canham, opened her own design company dedicated to producing fine mohair bears and other hand sculpted soft characters, from miniature to BIGger, in numbered limited editions for the collectibles market. While the company began with bears, rabbits and gollies, its offerings grown to include dragons, rats, mice, cats and even dolls. Every piece is designed and created with outmost riginality and attention to fine detail.  The D.C.A.D. Collectors Club debuted in 1999. which fulfilled a dream Deb had to start a collectors club, from the very beginning of the company.  The company does not sell direct to the collector, so the club provides an avenue of communication between the artist and collector and helps build a special connection between them.
