A beautiful, glass walled restaurant in lovely Melbourne served
as the setting for a unique new teddy bear artists venue.
Scheduled for four Sundays in February, 2005, the “Bears on the
Square” shows feature a new lineup each week of Victoria’s (and
some surrounding states) finest and elite bear artists displaying
exclusive teddy bears and their companions, no supplies, whatsoever.
The show was an absolute hit for collectors who found a wide range
of styles, sizes and prices from which to choose, in each week’s
offerings.
The comments most often heard from collectors, centered on how
the shows gave them a chance "to meet some of their favorite artists
up close and personal" - an experience not always possible at larger
shows.
The Bears On The Square shows were held February 6th, 13th, 20th,
27th. 2005, 10am-4pm at Zargett, located in Federation Square, Flinder's Street, Melbourne. |
