My name is Humphrey and I was born in 1993 in Flagstaff, Arizona USA.
Currently living in Cottonwood, AZ, with my Mom and Dad, by the way of Florida and Hawaii; don't ask!

| PREPARING FOR VACATION |

The end of February I flew to Tampa, Florida to report on the activities at Bright Star's
Teddy Bear Show.
Reporting was the business part of my trip. The other
part was vacation time which I had earned as a reporter.
Now I'm sharing with you how I prepared for this new adventure!

My airline reservations were confirmed and after the teddy bear show we were going to stay with friends at a
resort in Orlando, Florida!
Staying close to Disney World and
Universal Studios, I'm ready to feel the 'magic'.
I have gathered some brochures so I
could research the park's activities.
Making decisions as to where I
will get the most 'magic' for my entrance fee. |
SURPRISE!
Mom said she would pay my entrance fee to the parks, BUT
if I wanted to buy anything special, I needed to pay for it myself.
I
really want an official Harry Potter magic wand.
I could earn extra money helping Mom do house chores.
Doing dishes is OK; but why am
I in the sink too?

Laundry is not my favorite chore. Especially folding the clothes.
Clothes, hot from the drier, sure smell good and take the chill off my fur.
Oh yes! I did get a little wet while washing the dishes!
|
I earned extra money by cooking.
Grocery shopping is wonderful especially if I do it alone because
I'll get my priority junk food.
Always some honey in my shopping cart.

Word got around that I was earning money for my trip.
I had some out-of-the-home jobs too.
Bear Sitting the neighbor's kids.

I received great references and better pay than Mom.
I'm now a
full-time storyteller.
No more dishes or laundry!
I reached my money goal and even have money to spare!
So, I went on-line and ordered a
Harry Potter outfit that fits me perfectly.
All that is missing is the 'official' Harry Potter wand.

Mom said I could
borrow her wand which is a replica of Hermione's wand but that wand only
works for girls.
Besides I now have my own money!
I plan to take Mom, Dad to lunch and perhaps Harry Potter too!
Mom made a tote bag with Harry and his friends on it. When I get tired I
will ride in it and it should hold all of my souvenirs too.
I'll carry
my wand.

I'm so excited about playing tourist but you know there is the blood of a
cub reporter within me.
I will share the 'MAGIC,' from both the bear show and my
vacation to Florida, in upcoming articles.
I need to finish packing before Mom takes up all the space in the suitcase.
