 Humphrey's Tales
June 2014

Let me introduce myself:

My name is Humphrey and I was born in 1993 in Flagstaff, Arizona USA.

Currently living in Cottonwood, AZ, with my Mom and Dad, by the way of Florida and Hawaii; don't ask!

Explained through my stories?

Maybe....

You'll just have to follow my tales each month.

I'M  STILL  ON  VACATION

Arriving at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida the first 'must see' in the park was The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

I rode the Hogwarts Express train dressed as Harry Potter so I could experience some

of his same adventures.

I asked the train conductor to direct me to the wand shop because I really was excited to purchase a replica of Harry's magic wand.

Who knows what kind of magic awaits around every corner once I own the wand.

Travelling the small streets searching for those magical wands was the same as walking through a maze, but finally there was the shop.

I opened the squeaky door and walked inside to see a selection of wands on shelves that were stacked to the ceiling.

The wand boxes had a name on them pertaining to each character.

I looked at the boxes until
I found one that said 'Harry Potter.' I opened the box to be sure the wand was correct and I think some magic dust came out and floated up to the ceiling.

I took the box and walked to the counter to pay for my selection and one of Harry's friends asked me why I was in the shop instead of attending wizard class.

I had to confess! I told her my name was Humphrey not Harry!

After buying my wand and some special Harry Potter postcards, I sat down at a table to write to a few friends.

The girl at the desk canceled the stamps with an 'owl' postmark.

When I put the cards in the mail slot, owls from every direction appeared and  feathers were flying everywhere.

The owls were there to deliver each card that was being mailed.

After their departure, I looked like a white owl myself, only I couldn't fly.  Those owl feathers stuck like glue to my fur!

Now was the time to see if Harry was in class, so I walked past all the shops until I made my way to Hogwarts School.

The school resembled a castle and ready to explore.

Of course I got lost inside and being where I shouldn't be!

Harry wasn't in school, but because of my disguise, I sat in on a class called 'Knowing Your Wand' - I can't wait to practice.

After leaving the school's grounds I saw a sign saying 'Take A Peek'.

That was enough for my curiosity. I followed the directional arrows to a construction site.

Construction crews were building an addition called 'Diagon Alley' which will open this Summer.

I heard from a good source that inside of the structure will be a dragon roller coaster.

I'm buying my ticket now!

Before leaving the park, I went to Honeydukes, a  candy shop filled with sweets from floor to ceiling.

I bought Chocolate Frogs!

As the sun was setting I said goodbye to Harry and the park. Tomorrow will be another day of adventures still yet

to be experienced.

Going to bed, my wand was beside me as I fluffed my pillow and pulled up my covers.

After my night light is turned off, I'm sure I will see a glow from my wand, letting me know that 'Magic Happens - Just Believe!

I did practice my wand lesson under the covers - bad idea!

I woke up the next morning with warts on my face OR was this a reaction to all the chocolate frogs I ate?

Next issue . . . Back to Universal Studios for 'must see too'   The Minions

Join me for another adventure next month!
