 Humphrey's Tales
November 2014

Let me introduce myself:

My name is Humphrey and I was born in 1993 in Flagstaff, Arizona USA.

Currently living in Cottonwood, AZ, with my Mom and Dad, by the way of Florida and Hawaii; don't ask!

Explained through my stories?

Maybe....

You'll just have to follow my tales each month.

HALLOWEEN

As I'm sure each of you did before Halloween was to choose your costumes and masks.

I went to a Halloween store to pick out the best costume - not too scary.

At least that's what Mom said.

The first area in the store I went to was the 'masks'.

This one fit me perfect but I still wanted to be sure by investigating other choices.

Just as I turned a corner into the unknown this witch jumped out and grabbed me like I was a 'treat'.

I yelled 'MOM' and the witch dropped me!

I guess she knows my Mom;
The Protector.

When I ran away from the witch I found this scary Pumpkin Man who I thought was nicer than the witch.

So I took my chances and sat in his lap until the witch flew by.

I thanked him for saving me and I promised him I wouldn't eat pumpkin pie any more.

He smiled.

I stayed with the pumpkin man a little longer to be sure the witch was gone, then I started to shop again.

Another ATTACK!

Spiders and more spiders.

YUK!

I really wanted a break from all those spooky things.

I needed time to find a quiet place to relax and catch my breath.

I discovered a soft piece of ground away from the spiders

I'm not sure what 'I'll be back' means written on the stone behind me.

So I took a deep breath and never let the breath out.

I had disturbed a sleeping ghost!
What I thought was soft ground was his blanket.

AND he was 'back'.

I think I broke the speed record for disappearing.

I wasn't watching where I was going and I landed on this moving bed.

I didn't care if she was a ghost, I held on tight.

The ride was really COOL as we spun around!

Before any more surprises and as I tried to leave the store, this waiter attempted to serve me to the customers as a 'treat'.

I do not think so!

"MOM," I yelled!

That was enough for me to look for the exit sign.

My intentions were to buy my costume but instead the adventure turned into a 'nightmare'

But isn't that what Halloween is all about?

I picked up these bat glasses and a 'treat' sign  and as for the ghost on my back, she came home with me because she was too scared to stay in the Halloween store too.

The store did a great job of scaring me!

AND "I'll be back" next year.

Join me for another adventure next month!
